Ch 2 Obedience

As Sayuri sat beside the intimidating yakuza leader, she could feel the tension in the air thickening. The room was silent, save for the occasional click of the man's fingers tapping against the armrest of his chair. Sayuri's heart raced, her mind a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty.

The yakuza leader, known as Ryu Kawasaki, was infamous for his ruthlessness and iron-fisted control over the syndicate. His reputation preceded him, and Sayuri had heard enough stories to know that crossing him meant certain death or even worse. Yet here she was, bound to him by the cruel hands of fate.

Ryu's gaze bore into Sayuri, his eyes dark and unreadable. She couldn't bring herself to meet his stare, she was too scared to. Choosing instead to focus on a spot on the ground. The weight of his presence was suffocating, his aura commanding respect and fear in equal measure.

Suddenly, a voice broke the silence, cutting through the tension like a sharp blade. It was Ryu's right-hand man, Hiroto, a stoic figure who rarely spoke unless necessary. "The ceremony is about to begin," he announced, his voice devoid of emotion.

Sayuri felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized the gravity of the situation. This marriage was not just a formality; it was a him claiming ownership of her. This marriage was forced upon her. To save her clan she has no other choice.

As the ceremony commenced, Sayuri's mind raced with thoughts of escape and resistance. But she knew deep down that defying Ryu would only invite disaster upon her clan. She was trapped in a web of power and control, with no way out.

As the vows were exchanged and the ritual completed, Sayuri found herself bound to Ryu in more ways than one. Their fates were now intertwined, their lives forever linked by a marriage that was anything but a union of love.

And as Sayuri cast a fleeting glance at Ryu, she saw a flicker of something hidden beneath his hardened exterior. Was it vulnerability? Regret? Or perhaps a glimmer of humanity that lay buried beneath years of bloodshed and violence?

But as Sayuri glanced at Ryu she couldn't help but stare at his charming face, sharp masculine jawline, Onyx eyes and his brown pupils and thick eyes brows that give him an intimidating look, His lips soft and the lines beside his lips indicating his jaw clenched. At this point Sayuri was staring at him like an owl stares at the moon, but suddenly Ryu glares down at her making her flinch and look away.

Before Sayuri could recover from the impact of his glare, she felt a huge hand wrap around her waist and pulls her delicate frame onto his hard broad chest. She lets out a yelp and his grip on her tightens.

"Be obedient and you won't be hurt" Ryu's cold voice devoid of emotions sends a chill down her spine and she nods while trembling.

The ceremony begins and both of them stands on the alter. There were no guests, only Ryu's man and her captured family. Her eyes were tearing up with each vow the priest uttered.

"I do." Says Ryu and looks down at his little trembling bride, his other hand holding up her chin, his eyes demanding her to comply.

"I...I do." Sayuri's voice trembled barely able to contain the sob. Her eyes teary.

"The groom shall kiss the bride" as soon as the priest says that, Ryu grabs her by the waist and throws her over on his broad shoulders like a sack of potatoes, he marches out of the alter, going straight to the room they would have there wedding night in.
